Here are some recent pictures I took when I was having some quiet time. It was an incredible experience to see the earth changing right before my eyes; Leaves falling to the ground, steam coming up from the river because it was much colder out than the water temperature, the sun illuminating all the different colors on the trees. It is no longer summer. It’s a new season. Some of you may be reading this and you are entering another season of your life… A new job, relationship, church, baby, school, marriage, divorce, someone’s death. Here are some lessons I’ve learned and still learning:
1. Embrace and enjoy your journey
2. Learn from your past mistakes, forgive yourself, and don’t repeat them
3. Honor the people that played a part in your growth
4. Cut ties or put up boundaries with anyone who doesn’t believe in you
5. Go into your new season with an expectancy that great things are about to happen
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain” Ecclesiastes 3
