Do you Have a Broken Heart?

It was early morning; I was in my bed sleeping, and I had a very vivid dream/vision that I was looking at a picture of a heart. It had all the muscles, veins, and arteries in it, but yet it looked hand-drawn. It was very realistic. As I looked closer, the name JESUS was deeply written inside of the heart. It was like a 3D image. While staring at the heart, I clearly and profoundly heard the words, “Erica, I have engraved my name on the tablets of your heart.” ❤❤

I immediately woke up and just started thanking and worshiping God with tears running down my cheeks. Just like a boyfriend and girlfriend write their name on a tree to proclaim their love for one another, Jesus wrote his name on my heart to proclaim His love for me. At that moment, I felt so loved, cherished, and special.

Some tablets of my life are amazing, but there are also some tablets that have been broken and shattered into a million pieces. But His name is not just written on the whole, healthy tablets; his name is written even on the broken tablets.

Yes, he has had to take his gentle, loving hand and rebuild all the broken pieces, but after he was finished, he still proudly engraved His name on every scarred and messed up places of my heart. It is so humbling yet so empowering to know that God, the creator of the universe, immensely loves ALL of me.

On this Valentine’s day, if you have a broken heart, feel unloved, lonely, weary, or afraid, let Jesus write His name on all the tablets of your heart. You may not feel loved by a significant other, but Jesus sees you and loves all of you. He is not ashamed of you. He knows your story yet He still loves everything about you. You are worthy, special, and best of all, He longs to spend time with you. He wants to heal all of your wounds and put your broken heart back together again so you and He can live an incredible life together.

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablets of your heart.” Pr. 3:3

“Your love is better than life.” Ps. 63:3a

“Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” IS. 49:16
