You Can Withstand the Storms of this Life…

God promises that He will…

As I am sitting in nature connecting with God, I glance over to my right and I notice all the majestic trees with the powerful sun filtering through them. I take a picture and am immediately reminded of the verse in Isaiah 61:3.

God promises that He will…

“Grant [consolation and joy] when you are mourning, give YOU an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—so that YOU may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Do you know that an oak tree can withstand incredibly strong storms, like tornados and hurricanes? Even when they are stripped of their leaves, oak trees survive because of their strength, their curvy branches, and their incredible root systems

If you feel afflicted, sick, worn down, burdened, hopeless, or fearful, remember that as you turn to God, He will turn your disappointments and sadness into dancing. He will plant you like a strong majestic Oak tree, so that you can withstand the storms of this life.
